স্টাফ রিপর্টার, পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর: করোনা পরিস্থিতির জন্য অসহায় অবস্থার মধ্য দিয়ে দিন কাটাচ্ছেন মেদিনীপুর শহরের রিকশাচালকেরা। তাই মেদিনীপুর শহরের সমাজসেবী সংগঠন হিসেবে পরিচিত সংকল্প ফাউন্ডেশন এর পক্ষ থেকে সোমবার মেদিনীপুর শহরের ১০০ জন রিক্সা চালকের হাতে একমাসের করে খাদ্য সামগ্রী তুলে দেওয়া হয় ।ওই সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে সমাজসেবী গোপাল সাহা বলেন গত এক বছর ধরে মানুষের পাশে থেকে তাদের হাতে খাদ্য সামগ্রী থেকে বিভিন্ন জিনিস তুলে দেওয়ার উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করা হয় ।কখনো রান্না করা খাবার কখনো শুকনো খাবার অসহায় মানুষের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয়েছে। সোমবার মেদিনীপুর শহরের ১০০ জন রিকশাচালককে একমাসের করে বিভিন্ন খাদ্য সামগ্রী তুলে দেওয়া হয় । সংকল্প ফাউন্ডেশন এর উদ্যোগে রিকশাচালকদের পরিবারের সকলেই খুশি বলে একজন রিকশাচালক জানান। সংকল্প ফাউন্ডেশন এর পক্ষ থেকে আগামী দিনেও অসহায় মানুষের পাশে থেকে তাদের যাবতীয় সহযোগিতা করা হবে বলে জানানো হয়। ওই সংগঠনের উদ্যোগে স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন মেদিনীপুর শহরের সর্বস্তরের মানুষ জন।
